Minister of Culture and Information Chairs Meeting of Islamic Broadcastings Federation's Executive Council
Jeddah, SPA:
 Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja chaired here yesterday an extra-ordinary meeting of the executive council of Islamic Broadcastings Federation to approve the statute of the federation and its organizational structure, in addition to nominating three names to assume the position of the next director general of the federation.
The Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Conference Dr. Akmaluddine Ihsanoglu delivered a speech in which he highlight the importance of the media as it plays a very essential role in face of the challenges of contemporary life.
On his part, Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja, who is also the Chairman of the executive council of the federation conveyed greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, greetings of the Crown Prince and greetings of the Second Deputy Premier to the members of the executive council and their wishes for success of this meeting.
'The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques directed me to give this meeting utmost care and lend it a special interest, taking into account the important role played by the media in contemporary life,' Dr. Khoja said, pointing to the informatics revolution and its impact on every walk of life, due to the role of technologies 'we will discuss in the meeting,' he concluded.
