Under the patronage of Prince Mugren Bin Abdulaziz, the President of the General Intelligence and the Honorary Chairman of the Saudi Association for Health Informatics (SAHI), the Association will organize in partnership with King Saud University for Health Science, the Saudi e-Health conference 2010 in its third edition during the period from 2nd to 4th of  May 2010 at the InterContinental's king Faisal conference hall in Riyadh.
Dr. Bandar Alqenawi Executive General Manager for Health Affairs at National Guard and Manager of King Saud University for Health Science, confirmed that Prince Mugren's patronage for this conference originates from his keen interest in Health Informatics that represent great benefits for all citizens. The conference will be attended by administrative and executives leaders in Health sector in the Kingdom in addition to hospitals and Health centers managers. Health informatics and IT Specialists will attend as well, he added.
Dr. Majed Altwegari, Director of SAHI, on his part, stated that the conference will be held in parallel with a specialized exhibition of latest technologies and applications related to eHealth. The exhibition will be organized by patron companies to show their cutting-edge technologies and programs in addition to recent developments of Health Informatics solutions and services, said the SAHI Director.
The conference aims to expand awareness about health informatics emphasizing its importance in enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery and ensuring the efficient utilization of resources.
It is envisioned to create opportunities for networking, exchanging experiences and sharing knowledge in the field of healthcare informatics, in addition to exploring the e-Health new trends and latest technologies.
It is also planned to focus on introducing key concepts, issues and applications in applied health informatics, the discipline addressing the preparation and execution processes, resourcing, effective exploitation, and evaluation of health informatics solutions in the healthcare systems.
Covering different perspectives, the conference will demonstrate health care systems structure and related information & communication technologies. It will address a wide range of relevant topics i.e.; health care applications, digital photographing, photos archiving, remote health care and interactive systems. It will also focus on human and social perspectives of health information systems.
