Kingdom chairs Arab Network for Regulatory Authorities (ARNET)

E-Media: Riyadh - Governor of Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Jaafari has get the chairmanship of The Arab Network for Regulatory Authorities (ARNET) in Communications and Information Technology sector from the President of National Communications Authority in Tunisia, Mr Ali Ghadbani during the normal activities of 6th annual meeting of ARNET, which concluded yesterday in Riyadh, attended by representatives of 15 Arab countries with observers from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Arab League. The governor of Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) stressed that the importance of the joint links and mutual experiences which bring the Arab world together for success of the assigned objectives relating ARNET. The two–day meeting discussed during the period from 24 -25/5/1430H, a number of new projects including the project to develop a guide map for transmission of Arab countries to issue 6th Internet protocol and a project for transferring numbers from Saudi Arabia and presentation the activities of Bahrain's International Comparison Group, as well as a project of Saudi Arabia's experience in registration of Arabic names domains.
