Ministry of Health announces 4 new cases of Swine Flu

E-Media: Riyadh -The Ministry of Health has announced four new cases of Swine Flu (H1N1) A. A statement released by the Ministry said the first and second cases affected two Saudi children (five and three years old) who were in contact with an infected person, Saudi Press Agency quoted. The two children are isolated at maternity and children hospital in Madinah. The third case - a Saudi child (8 months) who was also in contact with an infected person, is isolated at King Abdulaziz medical city in Riyadh. The fourth case - a 27-year old Saudi who had come to Riyadh from Thailand via Abu Dhabi. The Symptoms of the disease appeared on him on Thursday, June 18, 2009, and he is now isolated. This will raise the number of the reported cases to 34 as has been certified by the Health Ministry’s laboratories. The health ministry reiterated that the required preventive measures are taken against the Swine Flu in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO).
