Multimedia expertise and technology exchange project launched by KACST

Riyadh, e-Media: Dr. Mohamed bin Ibrahim Al-Sweel, President of King Abdulaziz City for Sciences and Technology "KACST" launched lately the project relating to expertise and technology exchange in multimedia activities. The project was launched in partnership with Index Group of Corporations. He said that two years ago, the KACST reported to the Monarch the status of the Arabic Content on Internet which was poor not exceeding 0.03%. As a result, the City adopted the Initiative of King Abdullah relating to Arabic Content which has been envisioned to support the Arabic Content on the Internet to reach at least 5% where Arabic Speakers all over the world represent 5%. The new project includes establishing Excellence Center for multimedia in cooperation with a Japanese work team which will be the most important and interactive action compliant with King Abdullah Initiative which aims at enhancing the Arabic digital content to include high quality services and products in accordance with the Islamic Community culture and traditions.
