Governor of Makkah highlights Makkah development plan

Jeddah – SPA In a press conference yesterday, HRH prince Khaled Al-Faisal, governor of Makkah, chairman of the commission for development of Makkah and the holy shrines highlighted “King Abdullah Project for reconstruction of Makkah”. The project includes development of slum areas, resolving traffic congestion in Makkah and the holy shrines and management of urban development. The project will place Makkah at its right position as a symbol of the great Islam that attracts the hearts of one billion Muslims all over the world. The vision of the development plan is to make Ka’aba and the human being in the region the core of the development. The objective is to make Makka an honorable and inspiring symbol of the Saudi Arabia, Islamic world and the entire world. Moreover, sustainable and equitable development concept should be observed.
