Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General received at Al-Aziziyah palace here yesterday the former Chief of the General Staff Field Marshal Saleh bin Ali Al-Muhaya; Chief of the General Staff-designate Field Marshal Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Qabeel; Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Abdurrahman bin Abdullah Al-Murshid and Lieutenant General Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Commander of Ground Forces on the occasion of the issuing of royal orders appointing them to their new posts.
The Crown Prince decorated the Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of Land Forces with their new ranks, wishing all success in the service of their religion and homeland under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Supreme Commander of all Armed Forces.
For their part, the Chief of the General Staff, his deputy and the Commander of Land Forces expressed their pride for the royal trust accorded to them, appealing to God Almighty to be at the expectations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince and stressing that they will exert more of their efforts to serve their religion and homeland.
The occasion was attended by Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs; Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Tabuk Region; Prince Naif bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Prince Nawaf bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Prince Fahd bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Prince Misha'al bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet and a number of senior civilian and military officials.
