Minister of welfare attended a meeting of Shura Council. He heighlighted his ministry's role.The ministry pays more than SR 26 billion annually in monthly aid to poor families. Last year budget aid allocations to 328,817 handicapped amounted to SR 3.3 billion. SR 360 million were paid for accomation of orphans by alternative families. On the other hand there are 24 houses that provide accomodation to 1171 male and female orphans. 12 houses accomodate 716 seniors.
