5th eServices symposium launched at Eastern Region

Prince Galawi Bin Abdulaziz Bin Mesaad, deputy governor of Eastern Region, launched yesterday, at Meridian Hotel in Khubar, the 5th eService symposium titled "Comprehensive eServices.. Success and Challenges".
He stressed that E-government transformation has lately witnessed a vast development. This symposium is envisioned to reinforce all efforts made by both Public and Private Sectors in addition to individuals in this respect, he added.
Participation of IT specialists and eServices concerned people from both Public and private sectors is regarded as a fruitful source of much more ideas and expertise.
Zareb Bin Sayeed Alqahtani, the Eastern Region's Agent, on his part, stressed that the High Committee for e-services has been seeking to disseminate information technology awareness in addition to exploitation of its field applications in both Public and Private Sectors.
On the other hand, Dr. Abdullah Bin Hussein Alqadhi, head of the technical committee for eServices at the Eastern Region's Province, confirmed that such a symposium is aimed at exploiting the participants' expertise and knowledge in drafting strategies related to eServices future projects in the next phase. The symposium seeks to prepare such projects to be implemented after deliberating future challenges.
He pointed out that the last report issued by Communication and Information Technology Commission commended the Eastern Region Province for achieving an advanced position within more than 20 Agencies in the field of E-government Transformation.
At the end of the launching party, Prince Galawi bin Abdulaziz honored ARAMCO for winning Mohamed Bin Fahd Prize for eServices for the year 1431H in addition to honoring the symposium sponsors.
It is worth mentioning that the symposium is to discuss 40 work papers about frameworks, concepts and theoretical basics of comprehensive eServices and related technologies. The papers also cover eServices society awareness and the role of mass media in this regard. They also include details about how to achieve information security in addition to terms and regulations governing development process of comprehensive eServices.
