Engineer Adel bin Mohammed Faqih, Jeddah Municipality Mayor launched recently at the Municipality's theater the strategic competitions program of a number of strategically important themes.
The Mayor's Adviser, and supervisor of Genera Administration to measure performance, Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Mahmoud, said that the Secretariat embarked on the application of balanced cards methodology to measure the performance which is one of the most advanced ways in development of management strategies, and effective ongoing follow- basis.
He pointed out that the Secretariat has completed the performance development card of the city of Jeddah, in addition to more than fifty performance cards of the municipal departments and subsidiary of the Municipality.
Dr. Mahmoud said that the Secretariat had put five main points in the first phase to launch of a competition between departments and municipalities on the basis of sub-strategic plan drawn up, and urgent priorities for the development of the performance.
He added that the electronic communication with the community is one of the axes of competition that aims to activate the use of electronic channels to facilitate communication and provide services and follow-up transactions smoothly. The strategic competition is based on the accurate identification of indicators to measure performance and achievement of departments on monthly and quarterly bases.
