Civil Defense is ready to deal with all types of eventualities in Hajj: Al-Amro said

E-Media: Mina - The Commander of Civil Defense for Hajj Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Amro has said that this year’s Hajj plan has been adapted to meet new challenges such as developments in construction projects, including the ongoing monorail project and the now complete Jamrat Bridge. According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Amro said the recent Hajj season has fallen during the rainy season and that the Civil Defense is prepared for floods. The Civil Defense is also continuously following up with the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment to find out whether it rains. He added that the Civil Defense is ready to deal with all types of eventualities, including pollution, problems in tunnels, overcrowding and rocks falling. “There is a strict plan to prevent fires in places where pilgrims will be residing, including in Makkah and the holy sites.
