Makkah - Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior and Chairman of Supreme Hajj Committee, warned Sunday against any attempts to disrupt the security and peace of this year’s Hajj. “We will not tolerate any violation of the Hajj security from any individual, group, or any other side,” Prince Naif said during a press conference in Arafat, 15 km outside of Makkah, following his inspection of the holy sites.
Prince Naif said that during Hajj, Saudi Arabia will not allow anything violating Islamic teachings and highlighted the great efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia to facilitate Hajj.
“But we hope that no such things would happen during this Hajj season and we appreciate what we heard from some  pilgrims, respecting the Kingdom’s Hajj measures. At the same time, we will not show any leniency with regard to Hajj security,” the minister said.
He added that the government has completed important Hajj projects including the 5-floor Jamarat Bridge to ease congestion when performing the stoning ritual and the expansion of the Mas’a inside the Grand Mosque.
