Military operations on the border are over: Prince Khalid said
Jazan ( SPA) - Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, paid yesterday an inspection visit to the Southern Borders of the kingdom.
During the visit, the assistant minister announced the end of the major operations of clearing at the Southern Borders.
In a press conference at the end of the visit, he explained the situation at the southern borders stressing Saudi forces" ability to defeat the infiltrators.
Prince Khalid bin Sultan said that the other side's causalities are huge adding that the casualties of the Saudi side are 73 martyrs, 26 missing and 470 injured. He said the number of wounded had reached 470, adding that the majority of them had been treated and had left hospital, while 60 still remained in hospitals.
Saudi Arabia has given Yemeni infiltrators still hiding in the southern border village of Jabiriya 24 hours to vacate the area or face death. “They have 24 hours to surrender, or we will destroy them,” Prince Khalid bin Sultan, assistant minister of defense and aviation warned
