Makkah. Makkah Al Mukarramah Education Department Director General Bakr bin Ibraheem Basfar has launched here yesterday an electronic equipment portal for distributing educational equipment and school furniture to fill the equipment and technology needs of more than 550 schools the area.
The portal aims to use modern technology in securing the equipment, furniture and technology needs of the educational Sector and also aims surveying the actual needs of schools and the quick communication with schools in supplying them with their needs and legalizing distribution using the data bases of the e-portal.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Director General of Education in Makkah Area  said that the new portal comes within the framework of enhancing the concept of Knowledge-based society and the promotion of technology to serve education from the continuing efforts of the Ministry and it multiple projects to achieve a quality leap in education and to engage in a knowledge-based society.
