King Abdullah receives UNESCO highest medal

Riyadh - SPA:
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his palace in Riyadh today the Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova and the accompanying delegation comprising an elite of ambassadors to the UN educational, scientific and cultural organization representing Palestine, Germany, Brazil, Poland, France and Zimbabwe.
During the audience, the Director General of UNESCO decorated the monarch with the UNESCO golden medal, the organization's most prestigious award, in recognition of his efforts in enhancing the culture of dialogue and peace. The award comes in appreciation  of  The King’s numerous initiatives of international conferences and meetings in several world capitals and international organizations in this regard.
She commended efforts of  the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in support of UNESCO activities.
For his part, the monarch thanked the UNESCO head and her team for their good feelings, wishing UNESCO more success in taking care of education, culture and science in the entire world.
