King Abdullah chairs Cabinet meeting

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held in Jeddah Monday evening.

 

At the outset of the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques  congratulated Saudi people and peoples of Islamic and Arab nations on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

 

King Abdullah briefed the Cabinet on the meetings and contacts he made last week with leaders  and envoys of brotherly and friendly countries  on regional developments, reiterating the firm positions of the Kingdom towards these developments and its keenness to maintain security and stability in the region and the entire world.

 

The Cabinet lauded the Arab Ministerial Council's efforts, notably its resolutions at its extraordinary meeting in Doha regarding the situation in Syria. The Doha meeting has underscored the need to provide all kinds of support required to help the Syrian people and intensify the Arab and international efforts to spare bloodshed and extend necessary humanitarian assistance to Syrian people.
