Events of the forum of Internet in fighting terrorism launched

Riyadh, SPA: On behalf of Prince Mohamed Bin Naif Bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs, Prince Bandar Bin Abdullah Bin Mashari Director of National Information Center at Ministry of Interior, inaugurated the scientific forum “Role of Internet in fighting Terrorism” organized by Prince Naif University for Security sciences in partnership with Ministry of Interior and UN Anti-Terrorism team. Prince Bandar delivered a keynote confirming that the Kingdom has attached much more attention to fight Terrorism cases. He said that the Kingdom has much stressed the necessity of security cooperation in struggling against Terrorism and crimes in general. The forum is to throw light on a set of perspectives appearing in using Internet in terrorist actions pointing out the appropriate means to face such a dilemma. The Forum is envisioned to achieve a range of objectives such as increasing awareness on Arab and International levels regarding the dangers of negatively using Internet in Terrorism. It also aims at reinforcing Arab and International cooperation in fighting Terrorism in addition to unifying international efforts to make benefit of Internet in combating Terrorism and Extremism.
