The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja participated here yesterday in the first session of the 8th Arab Media Forum titled 'Media and Social Affairs' as many experts and specialists in media affairs participated in this session.
In his speech during the session titled 'Media and Civilizations Dialogue', Dr. Khoja talked about the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for dialogue among followers of religions and civilizations.
Dr. Khoja concluded the session by answering the questions of attendants.
At the same time, Khoja conveyed greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the participants in the 8th Arab Media Forum taking place nowadays in Kuwait, pointing that the King harbors all appreciation to all media men and pays attention to media and new media, in particular, through daily thoroughly following up of the latest local, Arab, Islamic and world developments, through the internet.
The minister's remarks came in a speech he delivered during the opening of the forum yesterday.
The minister said that the king responses, frequently, to some issues because he believes in that transparency of the new media is a source of soft power helping in both society and state management in addition to international relation-related issues.
The minister thanked the forum for choosing the kingdom as the guest of the forum for this year.
Dr. Khoja hailed the important role played by the forum in pioneering discussing information and cultural issues of touch to common man's interest, notably, that media today is an essential participant in setting up the parameters of median and communication industry.
