2nd Batch of Saudi Rescue teams reached Pakistan
Karachi, SPA:
The second batch of the Saudi rescue team reached Karachi yesterday to participate in the relief works in Pakistan.
The batch was received by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer and other officials.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Ambassador Al-Ghadeer said the second batch of Saudi rescue team will join the first batch which left for Hyderabad to undertake relief works along with the Pakistani armed forces in the rescue operations for persons affected by floods in Pakistan's Sindh region.
That second batch left yesterday morning to Pakistan containing three planes loaded with equipment and vehicles required by the rescue team.
Being the first international team to Pakistan, the rescue team will work under a Saudi supervision to take part in rescue works implemented by the Pakistani Armed Forces.
