Shura approves the separation of industry sector from trade in a separate ministry
Riyadh - SPA:
Shura Council agreed at its 53 regular session, held yesterday under the chairmanship of the President of the Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, on the need to expedite the activating system of anti-dumping and its implementing regulations, and make a comprehensive review of the foundations of incentives offered to domestic factories to enhance their competitiveness.
The Council urged the Ministry of Trade and Industry to provide services to the private sector through a comprehensive service centers affiliated to the ministry, and to accelerate the start and direct the work of Export Development Authority.
Council agreed on the importance of separation of industry from trade in a separate ministry.
Council also discussed the report of the Committee of Security Affairs on the request to express an opinion regarding the reservation to paragraphs "b" and "c" of the item "1" of Article "41" of the convention on Road Traffic signed at Vienna on November 8, 1968, as it would be required - in accordance with of the reservation - who has a local driving license - of his country -, or international license, to take necessary action for issuing a Saudi driving license according to the Saudi traffic system on the streets of the kingdom.
Several States expressed reservations to this Convention.
After deliberations, the Council agreed to grant the Committee an opportunity to present its view on what members of his notes at a later meeting.
