Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, in collaboration with the University of Cairo, organizes today and over three days in Cairo, the work of the symposium (the use of the Internet in terrorism financing and the recruitment of terrorists), with the participation of representatives from the Ministries of Interior, Justice, Social Affairs,and information, universities, and research centers in the Arab States and the relevant security agencies and experts.
The seminar aims to clarify the role of the Internet in the financing of terrorism and identify the role of the Internet in the recruitment of terrorists, and to identify cyber terrorism, and the electronic media.
Symposium will discuss topics under six main themes: using of the Internet in the financing of extremist and terrorist groups, techniques to monitor the activities of the financing of terrorist groups through the Internet, legal challenges in the financing of terrorism through the Internet, security challenges in countering the financing of extremist groups through the the Internet, media activities of extremist groups on the Internet, and the role of eMedia in the face of extremist thought.
