Prince Mohammed Ibn Nawaf Ibn Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom inaugurated 'Fifth International Saudi Conference' at Warwick University in Coventry City in the United Kingdom on Friday evening.
Addressing the Conference, the Prince pointed out that more than 100,000 students, including 16,000 students in the United Kingdom, have so far benefitted from The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Program for Foreign Scholarship.
The Saudi Ambassador noted that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz has been investing billions of Saudi riyals in building new universities and schools and for a comprehensive reform in education system, indicating that the King is seeking for a knowledge-based economy in Saudi Arabia.
Prince Mohammed Ibn Nawaf stressed that the Embassy's doors are always open to Saudi students at any time and for any subject in accordance with the directives of the King, the Crown Prince, the Second Deputy Premier, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In another speech, the President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri Asas described the Conference as a historical event, expressing his pleasure over the dynamism shown by Saudi students on scholarships at the Conference.
On his part, Saudi Cultural Attachأ© to the United Kingdom and Ireland Professor Ghazi Al-Makki said that the Conference comes in an appropriate time in meeting the needs of development in Saudi Arabia, pointing to the progress being witnessed by Saudi Arabia in all fields.
On the other hand, Prince Mohammed Ibn Nawaf Ibn Abdulaziz also opened the Exhibition of 73 Scientific Posters and visited Warwick Factories Group for Manufacturing.
