To support Strategic planning and Development infrastructure, Prince Faisl Bin Khalid Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asseer Region, issued a resolution to establish a GIS center to be administratively linked with the Region’s Development Administration.
The resolution included supporting strategic planning in the Region in addition to specifying and analyzing responsibility areas and public services.
The Governor asked  all concerned sectors and departments to appoint a representative to coordinate with relevant departments at the Province regarding the project’s requirements.
