Prince Salman Launches Consumer Goods Electronic Index

E-media: Riyadh. The Governor of Riyadh Region, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz has launched yesterday a Consumer goods Electronic Index. The Minister of Trade and Industry Abdullah bin Ahmad Zinal who addressed the gathering said that the index of prices includes monitoring the prices of food items in some of cities in the Kingdom on a daily bases. The Minister said that there are seven main provinces which were specified and four most wide spread commercial centers were selected. The Minister added that an agreement with these centers was reached to supply the Ministry electronically with their prices daily for publication in the index. The Ministry also appointed supervisors to tour these centers to ensure that the published prices on the index are correct and whether the priced goods are available. The Minister of Trade and Industry thanked the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Mohammad Jameel bin Ahmad Mullah for his support of the index. Prince Salman, later launched the Consumer Goods Electronic Index and then a visual presentation of the index and its goals was made, after the presentation, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz honored the sponsors who supported the campaign of the index, including "Yesser" and handed over to them commemorative shields. It also oversees the Minister of Trade and Industry to provide a commemorative shield to His Highness the Emir of Riyadh Region.
