E-Media: Jeddah - Kingdom has succeeded in obtaining membership of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for Asia, third group, during its participation in sessions of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change "IPCC" which was held in Antalya city, Turkey on Tuesday and attended by more than 170 UN member countries related to climate change. Kingdom’s delegation to three-day meeting, according to Saudi Press Agency, was headed by Assistant of President-General of Meteorology and Environment Protection, kingdom's permanent representative in World Meteorological Organization(WMO) and the Executive Board’s member Dr. Samir Bin Abdel-Ellah Bukhari. Dr. Bukhari considers this achievement is one of Kingdom’s successes achieved by General Presidency of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, pointing out that during meetings Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, review preparations for climate change and the panel’s future outlook.
