e-Government 16th Gulf forum concluded with a recommendation on eliminating PC illiteracy

The e-Government 16th Gulf forum attendees recommended the necessity of seeking for having a general review of components of the e-Government to specify requirements for each of them so as to activate affirmative aspects and going without negative ones in the framework of e-Government transformation.
Attended lately by representatives of the Public and Private sectors in the Kingdom, The forum also concluded with a set of recommendations. One of the main recommendations appears in the necessity of not importing a certain ready style of e-Government to be implemented directly in Arab Nations. On the contrary, the recommendation pointed out, appropriate studies and deliberations should be made to have an e-Government style that is solely appropriate with each community. In the same respect, negative aspects should be deliberately studied and PC illiteracy elimination should be continuously executed to spread IT culture. The recommendations also pointed out the important role of the Private sector  which will lessen burdens faced by government agencies in the march e-Transformation.
