Al Madinah Al Munauwarah.  The Governor of Al Madinah Al Munauwarah His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman of Al Madinah Al Munauwarah Development Authority chaired the first meeting of the authority. The meeting discussed the working plan of the authority and the financial and administrative procedures for executing these plans.
According to the SPA, the Governor stressed that the Authority has actually started drawing plans and strategies to develop the Region. The plan includes a comprehensive plan to develop irregular buildings in order to remove  obstacles and develop a better building environment and support and preserve the present urban fabric and create a homogeneous building structures.
His Royal Highness said that the Authority is now evaluating previous studies in order to adopt it to the strategy.
It should be noted that the Governor had issued a decree establishing the Authority under his Chairmanship and the membership of the Ministers of Finance and Hajj and the Secretary of Al Madinah Al Munauwarah. The Authority has an Independent budget.
