The ladies department of the Saudi chambers of commerce council arranges The Ladies First Hiring Exhibition in association with Labor Ministry and the Human Resources Development Fund. Princess Fahdah bint Saud bin Abdul Aziz president of Faisalia Foundation patronizes the event which will be held at Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh.
The women department manager says the two-day event will be attended by representatives from 26 government and non-government agencies. It comes pursuant to royal instructions supporting hiring of ladies in addition to decisions of the Labor Ministry to provide a wider range of jobs for women in the Saudi labor market.
She says job opportunities offered by the participating agencies and companies will be exhibited. Prospective employers will be urged to attract female professionals. There will be an opportunity of direct hire. Moreover, job seekers will be educated and trained. The event targets employers interested in hiring of women as well as candidates looking for jobs and individuals looking for skill development through various training programs in addition to individuals interested in micro- business enterprises.
The Saudi Chambers of Commerce Council will participate in the exhibition. It will introduce the services it offers to the private sector and particularly the ladies and businesswomen sector. A training will be conducted on job seeking skills. The training includes instructions on preparation of resume and preparation for an interview.
The women department manager lauded the great support enjoyed by the Saudi women from the sage country leadership under The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud. Women receive support that facilitate their participation in various activities in order to ensure their normal role in the society and to contribute to successful implementation of the socio-economic plans and programs.
