Barcelona Meeting Point Prize awarded to King Abdullah

Barcelona - The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was awarded the 2009 Barcelona Meeting Point’s prize in recognition of his wise and future vision to order the establishment of the King Abdullah Economic City.

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the award, according to Saudi Press Agency,  was received yesterday by Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to Spain, on the fringes of the 13th International Real Estate Symposium held in the presence of officials and elite of specialists and experts from all over the world.
The Director-General of the "Barcelona Meeting Point", Jose Pons said that "We decided to award the prize of this year to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in recognition of his extraordinary efforts in establishing an unprecedented development project reflecting his foresight, vision and positive spirit, noting that King Abdullah Economic City is one of the largest development projects established in the world recently. The Award's jury, composed of 18 people decided to give King Abdullah the award for establishing this wonderful work".
