PME: Rains and thunder storms in central & eastern regions of the kingdom

Riyadh –SPA: According to Meteorology Department forecasts, rains associated with thunder storms will continue today in the central and eastern regions of the kingdom including Riyadh, Qassim, Hayel, Harf Al-Batin and Damam. Surface winds arousing dust and earth will limit horizontal visibility. According to the meteorology report, cumulus clouds will appear in the afternoon over the heights of Jizan, Assir & Baha and will extend to cover parts of Makkah region. It might extend further to Madina region. Formation of fog is expected in the early morning hours at the central and eastern regions. North east surface wind is expected over the red sea at 15-38 Km/hour speed. More powerful wind speed at 45 km/hour is expected in the northern region. Wave height ranges from one to one and a half meters up to two meters in the northern half. Average wave will dominate the sea. In the Arab Gulf north surface winds at 15-42 km/hour speed will be expected. Wave height ranges from one to one and a half meters up to two meters. Average wave will dominate the sea.
