King Approves Decisions of Council for Higher Education

Riyadh, SPA: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud، who is also The Premier and The President of the Council for Higher Education، has approved a number of decisions taken by the Council in its 64th session recently. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) yesterday، the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari pointed out that the Council has endorsed a 25-year plan for university education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia scheduled for completion on 2029 to enhance the positive aspects of higher education and to address its current and future challenges. He noted that the Council has approved amendments to some faculties in a number of universities، the establishment of colleges and agencies، the assignment of Vice Presidents of Universities، and the extension of services of 23 members of the teaching staff. The Minister of Higher Education said that the Council has agreed that a number of annual reports of some universities shall be submitted to the Premier. He expressed his thanks to the King for supporting educational institutions and directing them towards a model future planning in the service of the homeland and its citizens.
