Riyadh - SPA:   

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia joins the countries of the world on the 16th of the month of October of each year in observing World Food Day.

The day falls on today and will be held under the theme: 'Family Farming: Feeding the World, Caring for the Earth.'

Minister of Agriculture Dr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Balghunaim highlighted the significance of observing the day, the role of family farming and small farms in eradication of hunger and poverty and Saudi support for farming and food aid for the needy.
