STC Showcases its Services by Connecting the Ports of the Future and Sports Stadium to the 5G at Barcelona’s MWC

STC Group is participating in the World Mobile Conference (MWC) Barcelona for the eighth year by presenting its success story as a pioneer in the journey of digital empowerment and the future of communication.
STC is showcasing the 5G technologies that link ports to the network in order to improve operations, use efficiency and automation, thus raise commercial operations that operate sea freight as 90% of global trade business passes through sea freight. According to World Bank reports, STC also provides the technology to connect sports stadiums to the 5G network and transform the fans’ experience of live sports into a digital experience, all inside and around sports stadiums where football fans in the Middle East region are able to explore the benefits of a very high network connection, low latency and large data capacity, which allows fans to enjoy real time interaction and accessible involvement.
STC tends to appear in the Global conference by presenting its experience and success in the field of sustainability and preserving the environment as it is the leader in digital transformation in the Middle East. During the World Mobile Conference, the group will discuss investment opportunities in technology within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and explore cooperation with global partners.
Among the most prominent projects, STC will present its data centers in the region, which connect the entire regions with a capacity of 125 megawatts besides highlighting its leading role in the field of financial technologies and its model in STC pay as a digital wallet. The group will also provide artificial intelligence technologies to develop high quality infrastructure in vital sectors, such as health care and urban planning as well as the Internet of things (IOT) as a way to enhance connectivity and raise the competences of the business sector in particular, and other sectors in general.
As for the “InspireU” program for startups, it mainly presents investment opportunities, most notable with White Helmet engineering consultancy offices and contracting companies to monitor and manage construction operations remotely. “Esnad”, a platform that assists warehouse store management and delivers shipments. “FASTCOO”, a software platform for services (SaaS) provides the full technology needed to manage the business logistics. In addition, “Teknaa” market research platform; brings forth the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning as well as reviewing online payment services from Splinter specifically designed for online customers.
A group of advanced technologies will be present in STC's pavilion, such as: Human Robot technology, which is used to help humans in industries, and a presentation of digital studio technology that goes in line with the great development in the fields of entertainment; sports and events enriching the technology-enhanced experience. Furthermore, STC's participation in the conference comes as confirmation for its leadership in the field of digital empowerment in the Middle East.
