Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet's Session

Riyadh, SPA:
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday afternoon.
The Minister of Media Turki bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet was briefed on a number of reports on latest developments in the region and the world. The Cabinet stressed the statement issued by the Quartet meeting in London to discuss latest developments in the Republic of Yemen and ways to support the efforts of the United Nations envoy to Yemen.
The Cabinet reviewed the Kingdom's participation in the Second Forum of Belt and Road Initiative for International Cooperation held in Beijing, the People's Republic of China, noting the integration of the Chinese "Belt and Road" initiative and the Kingdom's Vision 2030 pertaining to the development of both countries, building a sustainable future economy based on the knowledge society and emerging technologies, and the Kingdom's contribution to raising the level of regional prosperity by transforming it into a major logistics industrial platform targeting West Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's refusal of interfering in the internal affairs of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain and anything infringing on its sovereignty, security and stability, expressing the Kingdom's looking forward to strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Iraq being prevailed by mutual respect and contributing to achieving regional security and stability.
The Minister pointed out that the Cabinet commended the results of the first edition of the Financial Sector Conference organized, under the King's patronage, by partners of the Financial Sector Development Program, "One of the Kingdom's Vision 2030" programs under the slogan "Promising Financial Horizons".
The Cabinet issued the following decisions:
First:
The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Foreign Affairs, or his deputy, to discuss with the British side a draft arrangement on the formation of the Strategic Partnership Council between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and forward the final version to complete formal procedures.
Second:
The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Health, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), or his deputy, to discuss with the Australian side a draft memorandum of understanding between SFDA and the Australian-New Zealand Food Standards Commission on cooperation in the field of food safety standards and information exchange, sign it, and forward the final version, to complete formal procedures.
Third:
The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Transport, or his deputy, to complete discussions with the US side on a draft memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation in the field of transport between the Ministry of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States Department of Transportation, sign it, and forward the findings.
Fourth:
The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Transport, who is also Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, or his deputy, to discuss with the French side a draft memorandum of cooperation between the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of France in the field of civil aviation security, sign it, and forward the final version for further authentication.
Fifth:
The Cabinet approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the General Organization for Statistics of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Korea Statistics authority of the Republic of Korea on cooperation in statistics.
Sixth:
The Cabinet approved the organization of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration.
Seventh:
The Cabinet approved the National Frequency Spectrum Plan of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Saudi.
Eighth:
The Cabinet endorsed the final accounts of the National Center for the Development of Wildlife; King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy; Taibah University; and the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality, for two previous fiscal years.
Ninth:
The Cabinet approved a number of promotions and appointments as follows:
1.Ibrahim bin Sulieman bin Ibrahim Al-Asqah is promoted to the post of Undersecretary of Interior Ministry for Civil Affairs (15th rank) at the Ministry of Interior.
2.Ghanim bin Humaid bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim is promoted to the post of Financial Advisor (14th rank) at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
3.Abdullah bin Abdurrahman bin Saad Al-Jebreen is promoted to the post of Financial Advisor (14th rank) at the Ministry of Finance.
4.Dr. Suliemn bin Ali bin Abdulaziz is appointed to the post of Director General of Education Media (14th rank) at the Ministry of Education.
The Cabinet reviewed other issues on its agenda, including the annual reports of the Ministry of Economy and Planning; Saudi Geological Survey; and General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, and instructed appropriate recommendations, in their regard.
