Crown Prince chairs cabinet meeting

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense,
chaired the Cabinet session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday evening.

On the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the Cabinet extended congratulations to
Custodian of the Two holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince,
the Deputy Crown Prince, the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab and
Islamic Nations, asking Allah Almighty to help all in fasting and worshipping in this
holy month.

The Cabinet highly appreciated the address made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
to the Kingdom's people and Muslim brothers on the advent of Ramadan. The contents of
the King's speech included honest values and calls for bestowing security and political,
social and economic stability in all the Arab and Islamic countries and for peace to
prevail all over the world. The values of tolerance, compassion and love are achieved in
this holy month.While stressing rejection of terrorism in all its forms and
manifestations and confirming the Kingdom's relentless fighting of all forms of this
scourge, the monarch's speech stressed that  Islam  is a religion of unity, brotherhood,
coherence and advocacy.

The Cabinet extended thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the royal
directives of taking all necessary measures to protect the gains of homeland and its
territories and the security and stability of the Saudi people and his keenness of
protecting the Kingdom's national security anticipating violent actions that the
terrorist organizations or others might commit to disturb the security of the homeland.

Denouncing the brutal attacks being launched by the Israeli occupational forces against
the Palestinian people on the pretext of the disappearance of three Israeli settlers in
the Palestinian occupied territories, the cabinet appealed the  international community,
led by the UN security council, to take prompt actions to halt such tyrannical measures
and collective punishments being practiced by Israeli authorities against the
Palestinian people.

The Cabinet also condemned the terrorist explosions which took place in the Egyptian and
Lebanese capitals, considering them acts of terror and attacks against innocents and
sanctities, wishing the two countries more security and stability.
