Education Minister praises decisions of G20 leaders in strengthening role of education to acquire labor market skills

Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammad Al Al-Sheikh, praised the contents of the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques during his heading of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation at the G20 Leaders Summit in Rome.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, he said that the final statement of the G20 2021 on education affirmed the human right to education, including the groups that have priority in care and attention as well as redoubling efforts and investing potentials and resources to make education systems more inclusive, flexible and innovative, as well as increasing the level of coordination to enhance the role of education in acquiring labor market skills.
The Minister added that G20 Leaders emphasized the essential role of education for sustainable development and for an educational environment capable of empowering young generations by providing them with the skills and ways of thinking necessary to face global challenges, in addition to a commitment to strengthening cooperation and adopting practical measures to reach that goal.
