King Salman’s visit boosts Madinah’s development

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman inaugurated a number of development

projects in Madinah region late Tuesday night.
 
The projects include the one for renewable and green energy, the headquarters of Namaa

Al-Munawwarah Endowment, the Madinah Development Commission, the first phase of the

medical city at Taibah University, the university city at Islamic University, the Grand

Oasis of Technology, Madinah Specialist Hospital, and King Abdulaziz Complex for

Endowment Libraries.
 
The King received an original historical document on Madinah libraries as a gift from

the citizens of Madinah region delivered by Mayor of Madinah Dr. Khalid Abdul Qader

Taher.
 
King Salman watched a film about Namaa Al-Munawwarah Projects for Social and Economic

Development.

He was briefed on a replica of the map of Namaa Al-Munawwarah Development Projects.
 
He also watched a film on Madinah in the era of Al-Sauds. Later the King toured a

pictorial exhibition on the history of Madinah. Afterwards, the King toured Al-Ayniyyah

heritage market and visited antiques shops and restaurants of popular food.
 
The King attended the Suhoor (pre-dawn) banquet held on this occasion. Welcoming the

King’s visit to the Prophet’s City, Sheikh Dr. Abdulbari Bin Awadh Althbaiti delivered a

speech on behalf of the Prophet’s Mosque imams, and Khalid Bin Hamzah Ghouth spoke on

behalf of the citizens of Madinah.
