Crown Prince chairs cabinet meeting

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul-Aziz chaired the cabinet meeting held Monday afternoon in
Riyadh.

At the beginning of the meeting, the cabinet expressed appreciation of the  honorary
doctoral degree that has been granted by the Islamic World University in Islam Abad to
the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosque in politics and international relations in
recognition of his pioneering role in contribution to security, stability and
coexistence at the world level in general and in the Islamic nation.

The cabinet appealed the international community to exercise pressure on the Syrian
regime in order to facilitate delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to thousands of
stranded persons.

The cabinet commended the substantial improvement of health care indicators in Saudi
Arabia and remarkable decrease of infant immortality.

The cabinet also commended the national  scientific innovation olympiad that was
concluded in Tabuk. The objective of the olympiad is to encourage the culture of
research and innovation. The cabinet welcomed the Saudi students' seventh scientific
conference held in Edinburgh.
