Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz chaired the Saudi cabinet meeting Monday afternoon in
Riyadh.
At the beginning of the meeting the cabinet was briefed on the meetings held with the French president,
US secretary of state and Ireland prime minister during their visits to Saudi Arabia.
While commending Saudi Arabia attractive investment environment and steady economic
growth, the cabinet signaled the new 1435/1436 budget investment in sustainable
development and human resources.
On regional issues the cabinet stressed the significance of intensifying international
efforts in order to realize aspirations of the Syrian people, stop blood shed and maintain the country's integrity and sovereignty. The cabinet renewed its support to Egypt and
condemned the recent terrorist actions. It also renewed its condemnation of the two
blasts in Lebanon and appealed to Lebanese parties to preserve the nation's interests
rather than narrow partisan interests.
