Presided over by its Speaker Sheikd Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Shura Council remotely held here yesterday its 31st ordinary session of fourth year of the seventh round.
At the outset of the session, the Speaker of the Shura Council thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his royal gesture that sessions and meetings of the Shura Council and sub-committees be held remotely.
Sheikh Dr. Al Al-Sheikh affirmed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince are keen that the council continues its roles and tasks in the national decision-making.
The Speaker of the Shura Council hailed the enormous efforts exerted by the government's entities to confront the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in order to safeguard the safety of citizens and residents.
He also thanked the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence and e-Government Program (Yesser) for their concerted efforts to enable the Shura Council hold this session via virtual network.
Then, the Council discussed a number of issues on its agenda.
