Riyadh, SPA: Minister of Health Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel inaugurated the Global Health Exhibition today, set to take place from October 29 to 31. The event was attended by various ministers, officials, and CEOs from prominent companies within the health sector. Furthermore, the forum boasted the participation of 300 specialized local and international companies across various health fields.
During his address at the event, Al-Jalajel emphasized the forum's goals of creating a vibrant and healthier society, promoting investment in the health sector, and staying up to date with advancements in medical innovations and technologies that enhance public health. He stressed the significance of the forum in facilitating potential investment launches, establishing agreements, and unveiling opportunities in the field of health.
The minister reviewed the map of promising investment opportunities in the health sector, citing the field of "biotechnology and vaccines", whose growth in the Kingdom is expected to reach SAR130 billion by 2040, in addition to the areas of health manufacturing, research and innovation, medical tourism and digital health solutions.
He noted that the Saudi Vision 2030 has set the equation of global leadership in the Kingdom's health sector by "moving from a focus on pain to investing in hope, therapeutic prevention, and focusing on beneficiaries rather than beds."
Later, the event's sessions commenced with the participation of Minister of Health Al-Jalajel, Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef. They engaged in a dialogue session titled: "Investing in Health in the Kingdom: Successes and Aspirations."
Moreover, the forum featured the signing of agreements, the inauguration of the "Nphies" platform, recognition of sponsors and supporters, and the opening of the accompanying exhibition.
