Member of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber Nouf Al-Turki and Executive Vice President of the Saudi-American Business Council David Callahan yesterday at the chamber’s headquarters in Dammam went over aspects of economic cooperation.
The two sides, in the presence of several Saudi businesspeople and members of the US delegation, discussed investment opportunities in water treatment, administrative and industrial consulting, business technology, and services for energy and industry facilities.
Al-Turki stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and USA have strong economic and trade relations, noting that the trade exchange volume between the two countries in 2021 amounted to about SAR114.1 billion, an increase of about SAR28 billion from 2020. She pointed out that the USA ranks sixth among countries receiving Saudi exports, and second among countries that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia imports from. Al-Turki said that more than 700 US companies operate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and more than 21 US brands work in the Saudi market.
She added that the two countries are keen to promote the exchange of trade delegations at all levels and strengthen bilateral relations that experience rapid development and growth in various activities under the new government measures and incentives that liberalized the national economy, as well as the tangible desire of US companies to access investment sectors that are among the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030.
