The Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha and his Egyptian counterpart Dr. Amro Talaat witnessed the signing ceremony in Cairo yesterday of memorandums of understanding between Saudi and Egyptian companies in the field of digital economy and information technology on the sidelines of the current visit of the Saudi minister to Egypt.
Ayman Al-Falag, the executive president of the Saudi company of Thiqa (trust), currently operating in the field of smart solutions, business services and data services, and Abbas Ghanem, Executive Manager of ABG of Egypt signed the first MoU while the Deputy Manager of Bood Saudi company (dimension) for communication and telecommunication Ibrahim Al-Kharboosh and deputy chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian holding company of Al-Magasa Dr. Tareq Abdulbari co-signed the second MoU.
The first MoU concerns with ways to develop smart solutions for government sector while the second deals with accreditation of electronic signatures between the two countries.
For his part, Minister Al-Suwaha, met with a delegation of Saudi students, studying in a number of Egyptian universities, in the presence of Ambassador Nuqali.
At the outset, the minister conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince to them and urged them to level up to the challenge and increase their academic input, to attain excel, in various scientific domains and contribute to the drive of the comprehensive national development, witnessed by the Kingdom, during such a prosper era.
