Eng. Abdul latif Al-Alsheikh, Minister of Municipal & Rural Affairs signed new projects'

contracts worth SR 1,029,770,096. The new projects provide for storm water drainage

systems, landscaping, cleaning, road enhancement, pest control, public parks and various

development projects. The regions that will benefit from these projects include Riyadh,

Makka, Madina, Eastern Region, Jeddah, Hassa and Tabuk. One of these projects include

using solar energy to illuminate streets in Riyadh.
