Ministry of Housing has 165 housing projects under designing and construction at various
regions of Saudi Arabia that comprise more than 214.4 units. According to ARQAM website,
there are 62 projects under construction that comprise 73.8 housing units. According to
a recent study, annual demand on housing units ranges from 150,000 to 200,000 units.
There is a remarkable gap in housing units designed for low income and to some extent
middle income citizens.
