The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Jeddah on Tuesday afternoon.
At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the contents of his phone call with the President of the Republic of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, and the results of his meetings with the Secretary of State of the United States, Mr. Mike Pompeo, and the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom.
Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, The Minister of Culture and Information, said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet extended their sincere gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his patronage on laying foundation stone for Qiddiya project. This project will be the largest cultural, sports and entertainment city in Saudi Arabia. It will be built in the southwest of the capital Riyadh on 334 square kilometers site. By 2030, it is expected to attract 17 million visitors annually. Moreover, Qiddiya project will provide more than 57,000 new jobs for Saudi nationals in this growing sector.
