Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Announces Agreement to Construct Causeway Linking Saudi Arabia with Egypt

Cairo,  SPA :

 The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud announced during a speech, at Al-Ittihadiyah Palace on Friday, that he agreed with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, to construct a causeway linking up the two countries, which are located, at the heart of the world.

 

 The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed that this historic step, of land linkage between the Asian and African continents, is a qualitative leap of great benefits, which will raise the trade exchange between the two continents to unprecedented levels and back up the two countries exports to the world.

 

 This bridge, the King said, will be an international outlet for the most promising enterprises of the two countries, calling it essential for travelers such as pilgrims and Umrah observers and tourists, in addition to employment opportunities that would be provided by the causeway for the people, at the area.

 

 In turn, President Al-Sisi suggested to call the proposed causeway, connecting Saudi Arabia with Egypt, after the name of King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
