Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, chaired the cabinet session on Monday afternoon at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.
The cabinet reviewed reports on the course of events and developments at Arab, regional and international arenas.
The cabinet hailed the valuable implications included in the speech of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud before the 12th Islamic Summit in Cairo.
The cabinet also praised efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt, led by President Mohammad Morsi during the hosting of the summit, and the summit's final communique hich covered various issues of concern to the Muslim world in all their political, economic and humanitarian dimensions, expressing hope of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that the summit's results will help achieve aspirations of the Islamic nation and improve joint Islamic action.
The cabinet discussed the outcome of Third Ministerial Meeting on Security Council Reform, held in Italy under the title 'New Approaches to Reforming the Security Council' and stressed the importance of the road map to reform the Security Council suggested by the Kingdom to the conference based on six principles of transparency and clear vision required for addressing
the issue of reform of the Security Council and the United Nations.
