Riyadh, SPA:
Assistant Minister of Health and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali affirmed today that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is providing a pioneering and important role as well as a great global contribution with regard to the clinical research, studies and researches related to the access to additional information and steps taken towards the novel Coronavirus treatments conducted by its distinguished Saudi male and female cadres leading the field of research as the Kingdom's ranking is 25th globally, 2nd in the Middle East and first among Arab countries in issuing scientific papers related to the novel Coronavirus.
In a press conference here, he announced that 323 new confirmed cases of the Coronavirus have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 339,267 cases, including 8,894 active cases undergoing treatment.
Of these, there are 826 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.
He added that 25 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 5,043.
Meanwhile, as many as 593 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 325,330.
On the other hand, 38,239 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, Dr. Al-Abdulaali concluded.
