Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon.
At the outset of the session, the Crown Prince praised Allah Almighty for bestowing good health and recovery upon King Abdullah following the successful surgery which he has recently undergone.
The Crown Prince talked about the King's prestigious status at the Arab, Islamic and international levels and his important and influential roles in world events, and the Kingdom's prosperity and progress, which have made the King assume world rankings, referring to the recent ranking by U.S. Forbes Magazine.
The Cabinet renewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the settlements construction by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories. The cabinet appealed to the international community to stand against the occupation projects , which will hamper the peace process, and destabilize the region.
Then, the Cabinet reviewed the outcomes of the 18th conference of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) recently held in Doha, Qatar, hoping the outcomes would strengthen implementation of the convention.
The Cabinet approved the strategic plan to enhance performance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Cabinet also approved the final account of the Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organization for the fiscal year (1431-1432H).
The Cabinet approved organization of the Saudi Center for Organs Transplantation. The Saudi Center for Organs Transplantation shall draft a comprehensive system regarding organs transplantation.
The Cabinet was briefed on the efforts made by the Kingdom through the Islamic Organizations for serving Islam and on the best ways for activating various communication channels with others in order to correct misconceptions about Islam.
